Batista, the former WWE star opened up on his issue with asthma. He talked about dealing and having precautions for the chronic respiratory disease during his matches in the wrestling ring.

‘The Animal’ was asked by a fan on Twitter if the wrestler had a mid-match attack of asthma. The fan also praised the WWE star for putting up the effort in the bouts, despite having asthma.

The fan Tweeted, “Knowing you have asthma makes your work in the ring even more impressive. Ever have an attack mid-match? Was your inhaler kept at ringside?”

Batista, the WWE Hall of Famer who battled all his life with the respiratory disease admitted that he used to hide inhalers under the ring. The people working around the also had to keep the inhalers when ‘The Animal’ stepped inside the squared circle.

Moreover, he added that performing in the events taking place in the cold venues were very difficult for him.

Batista responded with a Tweet, stating that “I hid inhalers under the ring and with people working around the ring. I’m not kidding. The cold venues were my nightmare.

Batista previously had joined ‘Pod of Awesomeness’ podcast, hosted by WWE Hall of Famer, Edge and Christian. In the podcast, he spoke about struggling to perform in the matches which went on for more than thirty or forty minutes.

Batista arrived in WWE from the roots of OVW. Following his debut, he soon joined the legendary stable, Evolution in 2005, that saw ‘The Animal’ alongside, WWE legend, Ric Flair and Triple H.

He went on to win his first championship gold in WWE after defeating Triple H at WrestleMania 21. Batista is a six-time World Champion and was inducted to the WWE Hall of Class of 2020.

Batista made several appearances to WWE and also had a brief run as the Evolution faction reunited in 2014. The faction had a brief feud with The Shield.

He returned in 2019 setting up a match between him and Triple H. Both the stars clashed at WrestleMania 35 where ‘The Animal’ was defeated and he announced his retirement the following day.
