Adam Cole, NXT star believes Pat McAfee is not made for WWE NXT. Adam Cole claims he doesn’t deserve to be in NXT as he is not a wrestler.
Adam Cole on Pat McAfee,“He doesn’t belong at all and I’m gonna prove that once again”
Adam Cole, spoke to WWE The Bump. He believes that Pat McAfee is a world-class athlete but he is not a pro wrestler. Adam Cole shared a story that, during the NXT invasion to SmackDown, Pat McAfee stepped into the ring with fellow NXT stars. Since, the main roster superstars were stranded in Saudi Arabia, NXT was supposed to fill in. This made him step into the squared circle. However, Pat McAfee is not a wrestler.
Adam Cole, the former NXT Champion, said, “In that moment I didn’t even think about Pat being in there, but about a week later I watched that close [of SmackDown] with Triple H in there and all of us in there. I remember seeing Pat in that ring and it making me sick to my stomach. Like, once again here’s a guy who has done absolutely nothing to help the growth, the advancement, the invasion for NXT for that monthly build toward Survivor Series. He’s standing in there like he belongs. If you watch it he’s standing there like he belongs to be in there like he owns the freaking ring.”
Pat McAfee was previously got into an altercation with Adam Cole during Pat McAfee podcast. Few later Triple H invited him to NXT to make up things with Adam Cole.
Later that night, again things got heated up when Adam Cole started to insult the former NFL player, Pat McAfee, eventually attacking him. Pat McAfee fought back and ended up punting the head of Cole. This resulted Triple H setting up a match between the two.
Adam Cole is disgusted with Pat McAfee getting handed everything and said, “It’s disgusting and he’s always been this way. From the very beginning he’s walked into NXT whether he’s doing commentary whether he’s commentating on SmackDown it doesn’t matter whether he is standing in the ring with NXT talent the ones who are the driving force responsible for NXT he’s standing there like he belongs and he does not belong. He doesn’t belong at all and I’m gonna prove that once again at TakeOver XXX.”
Adam Cole is set to face Pat Mcafee at NXT TakeOver: XXX. Pat McAfee has a lot to prove, that he deserves to be in NXT, that he was made for this.
