NBA ‘ain’t got the balls’ to suspend LeBron James, claims Charles Barkley

LeBron James was found to be flouting the NBA Health and Safety Protocols after attending an event prior to the Lakers’ win over Warriors in the play-in tournament. Despite the violation, the league announced that the four-time MVP won’t be reprimanded for his actions, which Charles Barkley had anticipated.

The Lakers ace attended an event for Lobos 1707 tequila, which the player holds a stake in. Alongside LeBron, other prominent celebrities such as Drake and Michael B Jordan were present, who were also in attendance as well for the game at the Staples Center.

The breach was apparently discussed with the franchise, but ultimately, no punishment was issued against LeBron.

It is to be noted that, the exclusive event required a negative COVID test or proof of being vaccinated in order to attend. LeBron is yet to comment whether he has been vaccinated or not.

Despite the breach. the NBA deemed the threat to be negligible and let the incident slide by.

“It’s a violation of the agreed-upon protocols, and, as we have in other comparable instances around the league, it has been addressed with the team,” a league spokesman told ESPN on Friday.

The NBA legend stated that LeBron would definitely play against his former franchise on Sunday in Game 1 of the playoff series.

Barkley added that the league does not have what it takes to suspend their premier player and admitted laughing when he read about the prospect of LeBron being punished for the breach.

LeBron James played a crucial role in the Lakers clinching the seventh seed with a clutch game-winner against the Warriors.
