Marcelo Brozovic needed military assistance after causing a dispute inside the hospital. The military had to intervene in order to calm the player down after the hospital and police forces failed to do so.

The Inter Milan midfielder made it to the San Carlo hospital in Milan to aid his friend who suffered a leg injury. The 42-year-old patient was reportedly losing a lot of blood which triggered Brozovic’s panic.

Brozovic asked the hospital authorities to tend to his friend before the other patients and things escalated once the hospital refused to comply with his demands.

The authorities were forced to call in the police force as Brozovic refused to cooperate. The military had to be called in with the police force failing to calm the 27-year-old player down.

Once the military troops explained the serious consequences if he continued his antics, Brozovic appeared to calm down and apologized for his actions. He proceeded to wait in line to watch his friend who was getting treated by the medical staff.

According to sources, the hospital authorities did not recognize the Inter’s midfield engine as he was wearing a mask according to the protocol set in place due to coronavirus.

Marcelo Brozovic’s previous tussle with the law

The Croatian was caught by the Italian police last month after he was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Brozovic had reportedly breezed past a red light at 2 AM in the night and was subsequently caught by the police.

While the police revoked his license for the offense, Inter Milan proceeded to impose a fine of €100,000 while informing the squad about the incident to show them the consequences of breaching the law.

Brozovic has been a vital cog of Antonio Conte’s new-look Inter Milan. The midfielder has made 31 league appearances across the season so far. The 2018 World Cup finalist has scored 3 goals and provided 5 assists so far.

Inter Milan has seen a resurgence under former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte. With influential signings and a solid set of players, the club hopes to break Juventus’ dominance in the country.

Inter Milan next face Atalanta in the last league fixture in a bid to secure their second place with their opposition and Lazio looming. The club also have the Europa League to look forward to winning silverware.
