Marshon Lattimore, the New Orleans Saints cornerback and a three-time Pro Bowler has been apprehended in Cleveland, Ohio on Thursday over accusations of receiving stolen property, latest sources have claimed.
The first claim about Marshon Lattimore’s arrest was made by Cleveland.com, who reported that the 24-year-old cornerback was arrested around 10:30 pm in Thursday Cleveland police’s gang investigators.
Marshon Lattimore among four arrested over illegal possession of firearms
A total of four suspects were taken into custody by the cops, including Lattimore. While the exact details of the arrest are still scarce, it has been revealed that one of the perpetrators was suspected of improperly handling a gun inside a vehicle, while two more were charged with illegal possession of firearms while having felony records.
The player was taken into the Cuyahoga County Jail in the early hours of Friday.
A 2017 first round draft pick out of Ohio State Buckeyes, Marshon Lattimore joined the Saints on a four-year, guaranteed $15.35 million contract along with a signing bonus of $9.31 million.
Lattimore made his NFL debut on Monday Night Football against Minnesota Vikings in the season-opening fixture, in which he registered four solo tackles as the Saints were defeated 29–19.
In November 2017 Lattimore was named the NFC Defensive Rookie of the Month for the month of October and in the next month, the youngster was picked for the 2018 Pro Bowl.
He became a Pro Bowler again in 2019 and 2020, and has made a total of 57 appearances in the Saints shirt, clocking a total of 230 tackles, 55 pass deflections and 10 interceptions.
