Nikki Bella, the former WWE diva opened up about her ex-fiance and fellow WWE icon, John Cena during a recent interview. She revealed that the wrestler-turned-actor had congratulated her when she gave birth to a baby boy back in the month of July.
Nikki Bella and John Cena had parted ways on good terms
Nikki Bella with her fiance, Artem Chigvintsev welcomed their first child, Matteo in July. A day apart, Brie Bella and husband Daniel Bryan were also blessed with their second child, Buddy.
The former Divas Champion said that Cena had reached out to her and her sister, Brie. She also talked about not having a conversation with him in a long time.
She said, “So with the baby, he reached out to Brie and I both. We haven’t had an individual conversation in gosh, I don’t know how long, but it was very short and sweet!”
Nikki Bella and John Cena’s relationship way backs in 2012 when the couple started dating. In 2017, at Wrestlemania 33 they got engaged after Cena proposed to her following their match against The Miz and Maryse.
But, the star couple had broken up in April 2018 and they were set to get hitched in the next month.
Cena recently tied the knot with engineer, Shay Shariatzadeh, while Nikki Bella is currently enjoying her parenthood with fiance, Artem Chigvintsev.

However, with Nikki confirming that Cena had reached out to her to give her wishes when she welcomed the baby, indicates that they are on good terms now.
Cena and Nikki were featured on the reality show, Total Bellas for six years and it was not unknown that they were in a relationship. Nikki said that she wanted to make Cena happy and with his success in Hollywood, she is happy as well.
She said, “John and I will be tied forever. I get that, like, we had a public relationship on a reality show for six years. All I’ve ever wanted was for him to be happy. So, it makes me happy when I see that and, like, him kicking butt in the movie world and all that stuff. I love that!”
