Donald Trump has always made his dislikes towards athletes known, but the former president had not made a single comment ever since the Olympic Games began.
But on Thursday, Trump broke his silence to come forward and put out a statement that earned him severe backlash. America’s women’s soccer team was expected to win a gold medal at the Olympics considering the fact they have been World Champions but the team failed to secure first place but instead finished bronze.
Trump claimed that the team failed because it was headed by Leftists Maniacs and not enough Patriots were present in the team. He further added that if the team was less woke, they would have had a fair chance of winning the Games because everything woke goes bad.
“If our soccer yeam, headed by a radical group of Leftist Maniacs, wasn’t woke, they would have won the Gold Medal instead of the Bronze.”
“Woke means you lose, everything that is woke goes bad, and our soccer team certainly has. Theh should replace the wokestars with Patriots and start winning again.”
He attacked the team, albeit falsely, that they didn’t stand for the National Anthem.
“There were however, a few Patriots standing. Unfortunately, they need more than that respecting our country and National Anthem.”
The USWNT stood up for the National Anthem after they knelt before the games began to bring attention to racial discrimination.
Trump was not done yet, he next targeted the US Soccer team’s captain and star of the night, Megan Rapinoe. He blasted her for not having her head in the game and for thinking too much about Radical Left politics.
He demeaned her and called her the “The woman with the purple hair”.
The said Captain was the one who ensured America’s victory over Australia after scoring two goals and taking the lead 4-3.
