Liverpool

The Merseyside have begun their Premier League campaign on a positive note with two comfortable and dominant over Norwich and Burnley. Chelsea were among one of the sides that managed to breach the Anfield fortress, but Liverpool are yet to face defeat at the ground with Virgil van Dijk in their lineup and the crowd behind them as well.

Klopp will have a larger squad to choose from and a number of changes are expected as well. Despite the flashy performance down the left-flank that included an assist, Kostas Tsimikas is touted to make way for the fit-again Andy Robertson.

Another couple of bright prospects in the game against Burnley came in the form of young Harvey Elliott and Naby Keita. However, both of them will most likely have to accommodate Fabinho and Thiago to form their ideal midfield combination.

Chelsea

The Blues managed to wrap up the proceedings at The Emirates in 45 minutes with the returning Romelu Lukaku and Reece James snatching the spot-light. The defending European Champions have also recorded successive clean sheets in the league so far. They are currently pursuing yet another target to bolster their defence. Sevilla’s Jules Kounde might be a Blue by the time the transfer window ends with Kurt Zouma expected to go to West Ham.

Chelsea’s only injury crisis are coronavirus related as Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus Cheek continue to recover. N’Golo Kante will be vital in Chelsea’s chances and as a result, will likely replace Mateo Kovacic having recovered from his injury.

Romelu Lukaku will be up for one of the biggest tests of his career in the form of the towering Virgil van Dijk. The battle between the unstoppable force and the immovable object is bound to be one to watch out far and could determine the fate of the match as well.
