Adam Cole’s recent contract dispute has been a huge topic. It was initially thought that the contract of former NXT Champion would expire in early 2022 but it turned out that that Cole’s deal expired following NXT The Great American Bash last month. He had ended up agreeing to a short-term extension and never renewed the contract.

Amid this, Canyon Ceman, Senior Director of Talent Development of WWE was reportedly at fault and found himself released in the process. It was previously noted that Adam Cole and Johnny Gargano hosted a stream on Amazon Live Thursday evening to reveal new WWE products from Mattel.
This led to speculation that Cole might be staying with the WWE. However, PWInsider confirmed that the stream was taped several weeks ago, and there was no change in Cole’s WWE status as of Thursday. Several reports further indicated that Cole hasn’t re-signed a deal with WWE and is likely to depart the company in the coming days.
AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and AEW World Tag-Team Champions The Young Bucks have also dropped several hints on social media over the past week or so, indicating that Cole is likely to join AEW. We will have to see if there is any last-minute changes or Adam Cole goes ‘All Elite’.
