As per the recent post of ‘Ferrari News’, “Carlos Sainz’ only remaining option is Audi. Red Bull looks to renew Perez. Mercedes have only offered Sainz a one-year deal, and in Imola, rumours arose that Sainz is off Wolff’s radar. Corriere reports that Sainz has chosen Audi, and rejected Williams and Alpine.”
The Contenders for Carlos Sainz
1. Red Bull Racing
Red Bull Racing, a powerhouse team, has been a topic of speculation. However, they have yet to make a decision regarding Sainz. The team’s focus remains on their current drivers, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. Sainz may need to wait and see how things unfold.
2. Mercedes
Mercedes, the dominant force in recent years, has offered Sainz only a one-year deal. Toto Wolff’s radar seems to have shifted away from the Spaniard. While Mercedes remains a tempting option, Sainz may be looking for more stability.
3. Alpine (Formerly Renault)
Alpine, based in Enstone, is supported by Renault. Interestingly, Sainz’s father, Carlos Sainz Sr., worked successfully with Alpine boss Bruno Famin during their time with the Peugeot Dakar team. However, there’s much work to be done at Alpine, and Sainz may weigh his options carefully.
4. Audi
Audi, which will take over the Sauber team from 2026, has emerged as a potential suitor for Sainz. Joe Saward, an F1 journalist, suggests that Sainz has been in talks with Audi. However, it’s not an ideal choice for the Spaniard. Audi lacks the immediate competitive edge that Sainz desires.
