Liverpool

The Merseyside team endured a forgettable run of results at home last season. They endured six straight defeats and had to scrape through in the end to secure a place in the Champions League.

Nevertheless, Liverpool started the season on a bright note. The team travelled to Norwich and emerged victorious by a 3-0 margin where all goals came from their front line. Mohammad Salah scripted history by becoming the first player in Premier League history to score in five consecutive opening games.

Liverpool contested in a friendly against Aston Villa last weekend, where the fitness of the recovering midfield duo of Jordan Henderson and Thiago were assessed. They are said to be available for selection with Henderson’s contract seemingly yet to be resolved.

Andy Robertson is yet to recover from his ligament injury, which leaves Tsimikas as the option at left-back. Jurgen Klopp has the rest of the squad available at his disposal, which includes the slew of centre backs including Ibrahima Konate.

Burnley

Sean Dyche’s side suffered a frustrating defeat against Brighton and Hove Albion at home on the opening day of the campaign. The team failed to capitalize on an early lead by missing several chances until Brighton came back into the contest to take all three points.

Dale Stephens and Kevin Long remain unavailable after undergoing surgeries to treat their respective injuries. Moreover, new signing Nathan Collins will have to wait for his chance to break into the playing eleven as Ben Mee and James Tarkowski will continue to feature in the heart of the defence for the visitors.

Waging Odds: Liverpool (1.18) vs Burnely (17.00)  (Draw- 7.00)

Liverpool are favourites and are priced at 1.18, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹118.

Burnley are priced at 17.00 and are the underdogs. Betting ₹100 on them will earn you ₹1700 if they come out as winners.

The odds for a draw are placed at 7.00. Betting ₹100 on it will earn you ₹700 if they come out as winners.

Our Prediction

Liverpool will be red hot in front of a full house Anfield for the first time in 18 months. The atmosphere and quality will ensure a dominant win for the home side by a margin of 4-0.
