After notching his 32nd triple-double of the season, Westbrook is only 3 behind Oscar Robertson’s all-time high tally of 181. This game also sealed the point guard’s triple-double average for the season, for the fourth time in his career.

Wizards coach Scott Brooks was all praise for the player whose run of form puts them in a realistic chance of making it to the playoffs through the play-in tournament.

“Point guards don’t do what he does. He’s not normal; they’re not built that way, There may be someone that probably shoots better. There might be someone that probably can do certain things better. But there’s nobody in the history of the game that can do what he does throughout the stat sheet,” Brooks said

Westbrook labelled himself as the best playmaker in the league following his exploits which takes his average assists to 11 per game.

“Me, personally, I feel like I’m the best playmaker in this league, because I’m able to do things I don’t think nobody else can do.” Westbrook said

Pacers’ Domantas Sabonis, having been Westbrook’s teammate in 2016-17 with Oklahoma City Thunder, led the scoring for the visitors with 32 points and 20 rebounds.

“There’s a lot of pressure on him to perform, and he comes out and does it.” Sabonis said
