WWE are currently eyeing to retrieve a whopping amount of $500,000 from Konstantine Kyros, the attorney who led a class action lawsuit against the company. This lawsuit had involved many pro wrestling legends. But, the outcome being in favour of Vince McMahon’s WWE, the company is now demanding for the compensation for their expenses during the lawsuit.

Law360 reported that Vince McMahon and co. are seeking $573,770.44 in legal fees from attorney Konstantine Kyros. They are also asking for an additional $39,844.00 in fees and the costs involved with their applications following the Second Circuit’s decision.

WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt said that “Kyros violated court orders, didn’t comply with court orders, ignored court orders that cautioned him to cease certain behavior or risk sanctions.”

McDevitt further added that “Kyros had plagiarized and made false allegations based on other lawsuits against the NFL. He is supposed to pay all of our attorney’s fees in connection with the several things he did in a wrong manner.

WWE had also asked a federal Connecticut court for the payment valued over 1/2 million dollars last Monday. The filing took place before a hearing about WWE’s two constituent applications for court-ordered fees.

Back in September 2020, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit dismissed an appeal made by attorney Konstantine Kyros and former stars who claimed the company was laid back in protecting them from concussions.

But, Judge Vanessa L. Bryant of the United States District Court of Connecticut had originally dismissed the case in September 2018, but Kyros appealed the decision. The dismissal by the U.S. Court of Appeals was an affirmation of the original decision.

In February, Kyros again filed a Petition for Writ of Certiorari in the United States Supreme Court to review the Second Circuit Court of Appeals decision affirming the dismissal of the class action lawsuits filed by former stars for neurological injuries they suffered inside the squared circle during their time at the company.

Several legends including the likes of Jimmy Snuka, Balls Mahoney, Paul Orndorff, Mr. Fuji, and more were part of the lawsuit, but the outcome was a defeat.
