It’s just fun. It’s cool to learn new s**t: Wiz Khalifa

Aside from being the most exciting contact sport discipline, MMA has been vital in self defense training, or just improving one’s physical and mental health. And with the rise of the UFC in the past decades, getting into MMA training has been a step many have picked up, including athletes from other spots as well as celebrities.

While it mostly involves getting fit for athletes, or preparing for a new character for the actors, Wiz Khalifa has embarked on to the MMA journey, for the love of it, as he detailed his journey of five years into it.

“I’ve been training for like five years now,” Khalifa said on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast, “I don’t know, I f**k with it, it’s just fun. It’s cool to learn new s**t. I think the older you get, you just get into different things like your body just tells you what’s cool and what’s not cool.”

“I started lifting and I went to Unbreakable with Jay Glazer and just naturally they just put me on this program. I’m kind of just open for whatever. Jiu-jitsu, wrestling, striking, it’s whatever, if you want to teach me some s**t, I’m down to learn.”

“I don’t know if I like it [getting hit], but I don’t mind it. I’m not one of those people… I do get fired up, but you’re like, ‘Yeah, alright.’ You take a shot, you’re like, ‘Alright, I take one, now I’m going to go give one.’ It’s crazy because I didn’t like playing football ’cause I didn’t want to get hit, but in fighting, I don’t mind at all.” [H/T Sportskeeda]
