The Miz provides information on his injury status, timeline for return

The Miz has revealed his injury status and the exact time he would be out of the squared circle.

The Miz

THE MIZ WAS, UNTIL RECENTLY, A SUPERSTAR WITH NO HISTORY OF INJURY

For more than a decade of his professional wrestling career, the former WWE Champion, especially as a villainous character, used to relish at his record of never having been injured in an industry where a performer or two gets injured every week.

However, that record was broken, that too in a forgettable encounter. Damian Priest and The Miz faced off at WWE Backlash, with the constant presence of John Morrison at ringside negated by lumberjacks. However, it was not a typical lumberjack match, with wrestlers replaced by zombies, mostly played by developmental talents, as part of a promotional deal with Dave Bautista-starrer “Army Of The Dead”, directed by Zack Snyder. “The Most Must-see WWE Superstar” lost the encounter and was promptly “devoured” by the undead creatures.

Following the show, it was reported that The Miz had suffered a torn ACL in the middle of the match, yet rallied to finish it without any changes. The injury was prominent, and he would have to stay out of the ring for a period of seven to nine months to revitalize. He has returned to WWE since, but at a non-wrestling role, to host a session of his talk show.

HE REVEALED THAT MOST REPORTS ON HIS INJURY WERE INACCURATE

He spoke to Justin Barrasso in a recent interview, informing that the reports on his injury were usually completely wrong and he loved reading such inaccurate reports.

“It’s amazing. It’s all usually wrong. I was reading stuff about me like, ‘What? Where are they finding this information?’ I hadn’t even released anything that I was even injured. As far as I’m concerned, everyone keeps asking me how I’m feeling, and I feel like a million bucks and I’m going to be on WWE TV every week like I always am,” The Miz stated.

He stated that while he would be out for some time, it would never be for a period of nine months as reported by media. “I’ll be out for a little bit of time. I’ve seen that I’ll be out nine months. I don’t plan on being out nine months. I was on TV last Monday, and I’m going to be on TV every week,” he said.
