Reports suggest that Mercedes is prepared to offer Verstappen a staggering €150 million contract. This mouth-watering deal would make him one of the highest-paid drivers in the history of Formula 1. But that’s not all. Mercedes is also willing to offer Verstappen an ambassadorship role, which would extend beyond racing duties. This strategic move aims to entice the Dutch driver and secure his commitment to the Silver Arrows.

The contract discussions are scheduled to take place after the Miami Grand Prix. Max Verstappen, accompanied by his close allies, will meet with top Mercedes officials, including Ola Källenius, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, and Toto Wolff. Verstappen’s current contract with Red Bull Racing runs until 2028, but there’s an exit clause that could come into play if Helmut Marko leaves the team..
