NBA Week 9 Feb 19 results: Scores, standings, match summary and highlights

The fifth matchday of Week 9 of the 2020-21 NBA season has concluded and it’s time to take a look back at the scores and highlights of the matches and standings of the teams.

Magic 124 – 120 Warriors

Despite dominating throughout the game, Golden State Warriors fell victim to a last-minute scoring spree from Orlando Magic who walked out with a close win at the Amway Center.

Nikola Vucevic shined with a triple-double, posting 30 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists. Evan Fournier scored 28.

Cavaliers 103 – 120 Nuggets

Jamal Murray and his career-high score of 50 powered Denver Nuggets to a dominating victory over Cleveland Cavaliers at the Quicken Loans Arena.

Alongside Murray, Nikola Jokić clocked the second triple-double of the night, finishing with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.

Celtics 121 – 109 Hawks

A massive first half lead set Boston Celtics to winning ways over Atlanta Hawks at the TD Garden.

Kemba Walker led the hosts with a season-high 28 points, while Jayson Tatum finished with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists.

76ers 112 – 105 Bulls

Once again, the matchday saw another 50-point career high scoring, this time from Joel Embiid who paddled Philadelphia 76ers to trounce Chicago Bulls at the Wells Fargo Center.

Along with scoring 50, Embiid 17 rebounds, while Tobias Harris clocked a double-double, posting 12 rebounds for 22 points.

Pelicans 114 – 132 Suns

New Orleans Saints were massively outplayed by Phoenix Suns and their 41-point fourth quarter at the Smoothie King Center.

Devin Booker led the visitors scoring with 23 points, while Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton both finished with a double-double each.

Grizzlies 109 – 95 Pistons

The struggling Detroit Pistons were thrashed by Memphis Grizzlies who picked up their 13th win of this NBA season at the FedExForum.

Ja Morant led the scoring with 29 points, in addition to Jonas Valančiūnas landing 15 rebounds for 17 points.

Bucks 98 – 85 Thunder

After five consecutive defeats, Milwaukee Bucks bounced back to winning ways against Oklahoma City Thunder, thrashing them at the Fiserv Forum.

Giannis finished with 29 points, 19 rebounds, and 8 points, in addition to Khris Middleton scoring 20.

Timberwolves 81 – 86 Raptors

A 31-point performance from Norman Powell powered Toronto Raptors to edge out Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.

Alongside Powell, Fred VanVleet scored 12 points while the double-double from Karl-Anthony Towns for the hosts went in vain.

Clippers 116 – 112 Jazz

The thrilling clash between the Western Conference heavyweights saw two equal quarters, but Los Angels Clippers had just the extra little finesse to earn a close win over Utah Jazz at the Staples Center.

Kawhi Leonard’s score of 29 overpowered Donovan Mitchell’s 35, while Lou Williams came off the bench to post 19 points.
