NBA Week 12 Mar 14 results: Scores, standings, match summary and highlights

The fifth matchday of Week 12 of the 2020-21 NBA season has concluded and it’s time to take a look back at the scores and highlights of the matches and standings of the teams.

Thunder 128 – 122 Grizzlies

A final quarter scoring spree paced Oklahoma City Thunder ahead of Memphis Grizzlies at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

19-year-old Aleksej Pokuševski posted a double-double, scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds, and five 3-pointers, becoming the youngest NBA player to do so. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 30.

Warriors 131 – 119 Jazz

Golden State Warriors handed the utter surprise to Western Conference leaders Utah Jazz as Steph Curry-Draymond Green duo powered the hosts to a victory at the Chase Center.

Green finished with a triple-double, scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists, while Curry posted 32 points and 9 assists. Andrew Wiggins scored 28.

76ers 134 – 99 Spurs

Philadelphia 76ers had six of their players finishing in double digits as they outflanked San Antonio Spurs at the Wells Fargo Center.

Tobias Harris led the hosts with 23 points, followed by Seth Curry at 21. Furkan Korkmaz posted 16 points off the bench, tieing with Danny Green.

Magic 97 – 102 Heat

A thrilling second half finally ended in favour of Miami Heat as they edged out Orlando Magic at the Amway Center.

Jimmy Butler finished with 29 points and 9 rebounds, along with Tyler Herro’s 22. Nikola Vucevic posted 38 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts.

Hawks 100 – 82 Cavaliers

Atlanta Hawks broke away with a 31-point Q4 at the end to trounce Cleveland Cavaliers at State Farm Arena.

John Collins finished with 12 rebounds for 22 points, followed by Danilo Gallinari posting 20.

Rockets 107 – 134 Celtics

Boston Celtics clocked their 20th win of this NBA season, comfortably defeating Houston Rockets at Toyota Center.

Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum scored 24 and 23 points respectively, while Robert Williams came off the bench to contribute 16 points and 13 rebounds. Tristan Thompson posted 13 rebounds.

Timberwolves 114 – 112 Trail Blazers

Minnesota Timberwolves earned a narrow victory over Portland Trail Blazers at the Target Center.

Anthony Edwards led the hosts with 34 points, along with Karl-Anthony Towns scoring 13 plus 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Damian Lillard’s efort of 38 for the Trail Blazers went in vain.

Chicago Bulls 118 – 95 Raptors

Double digit scoring from nine Chicago Bulls players paddled the hosts to a win against Toronto Raptors at the United Center.

Patrick Williams topped the winning scoreboard with 23 points, followed by Wendell Carter, Jr’s double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Norman Powell had 32 points for the Raptors.

Pelicans 135 – 115 Clippers

Los Angeles Clippers had the ultimate upset as New Orleans Pelicans dominated them at the Smoothie King Center.

Zion Williamson topped the scoreboard with 27 points, with Brandon Ingram coming close at 23. Lonzo Ball posted 20 points.
