76ers 109-112 Cavaliers

Philadelphia 76ers are holding onto their top spot in the Eastern Conference by a thread following a defeat at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

With the scores tied at 92 each at the end of regulation time, the teams headed into overtime. Joel Embiid’s 42 points ended up being in vain at their home arena.

The contest was evenly matched at the halfway mark, but the Wizards proceeded to run away with it after scoring 44 points in the third quarter.

Russell Westbrook stepped up with a triple double while Bradley Beal top scored with 34 points.

Spurs 117-114 Pelicans

San Antonio Spurs edged away with a close victory at the AT&T center over New Orleans Pelicans.

DeMar DeRozan chipped in with 32 points for the hosts while it was once again Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson who did the bulk of the scoring for the Pelicans.

Thunder 96-126 Nuggets

Denver Nuggets thumped Oklahoma City Thunder to hold onto the last playoff spot in the Western Conference table.

Jamal Murray top scored with 26 points while Nikola Jokic registered a triple-double. Nuggets outscored their opponents in each quarter of the game to wrap up a decisive win.

Knicks 110-107 Pacers

The interesting mid table battle in the Eastern Conference sees another twist with Knicks climbing up to the fifth spot and Pacers sliding out from a playoff place.

Madison Square Garden witnessed a topsy turvy encounter that narrowly ended in the favour of the Knicks. Julius Randle top scored for the hosts by registering 28 points.

Magic 109-124 Jazz

Utah Jazz’s scoring spree took another victim in the form of Orlando Magic at the Amway Center. Riding on Donovan Mitchell’s 31 points, Jazz were ahead after the end of each quarter and won the contest comfortably.

This loss implies that Magic are without a win in three matches while Jazz looks forward to building momentum again after their shock loss in the previous game.

Nets 98-115 Mavericks

Brooklyn Nets failed to take advantage of the defeat suffered by 76ers earlier as they slumped to a heavy defeat at home against Dallas Mavericks.

James Harden top scored with 29 points while Luka Doncic chipped in with 27 points of his own for the visitors.

This ended Nets’ imperious eight game winning run in the Eastern Conference while Mavericks continue to fight for a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
