The fifth matchday of Week 10 of the 2020-21 NBA season has concluded and it’s time to take a look back at the scores and highlights of the matches and standings of the teams.
Celtics 118 – 112 Pacers
After losing six of their last eight matches including three back to back defeats, Boston Celtics clinched a necessary win against Indiana Pacers at the TD Garden.
Kemba Walker topped the scoreboard with a season-high 32 points, while Robert Williams clocked a double-double off the bench. Daniel Theis scored 17.
Raptors 122 – 111 Rockets
Despite the absence of the coaching staff on the court, Toronto Raptors blew Houston Rockets out of the park to seal a comfortable victory at the Amalie Arena.
Kyle Lowry posted a triple-double with 20 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, while Norman Powell led the scoring with 30. Fred VanVleet finished with 25 points.
Pistons 107 – 110 Kings
Sacramento Kings bounced back after a nine game losing streak, edging out Detroit Pistons at the Little Caesars Arena.
De’Aaron Fox led the visitors with 27 points, along with Richaun Holmes’ double-double of 19 points.
Bulls 97 – 106 Suns
Phoenix Suns pulled away in the final quarter rally to outpace Chicago Bulls at the United Center.
Chris Paul clocked a double-double of 14 points and 15 rebounds, while Deandre Ayton and Devin Booker tied at a score of 22.
Grizzlies 99 – 119 Clippers
Los Angeles Clippers avenged their previous defeat in the rematch against Memphis Grizzlies at the FedExForum.
Kawhi Leonard finished with 30 points, followed by Lou Williams at 17, as Jonas Valančiūnas’ double-double for the hosts went in vain.
Heat 124 – 116 Jazz
The struggling Miami Heat had the ultimate surprise ready for Utah Jazz, thrashing them to a comfortable victory at the AmericanAirlines Arena.
Jimmy Butler scored 33 points and 10 rebounds, while Bam Adebayo clocked 11 rebounds for 19 points. Goran Dragić scored 26.
Thunder 118 – 109 Hawks
A massive Q2 and Q3 rally pushed Oklahoma City Thunder ahead of Atlanta Hawks to a win at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 24, while both Darius Bazley and Théo Maledon posted double-doubles. Luguentz Dort finished with 19.
Lakers 102 – 93 Trail Blazers
After four looses, Los Angeles Lakers finally returned to winning ways, trouncing Portland Trail Blazers at the Staples Center.
Dennis Schröder returned with 22 points, while LeBron James posted 11 rebounds for a score of 28.
Warriors 130 – 121 Hornets
Draymond Green’s triple-double paddled Golden State Warriors to their 19th win this season, overpowering Charlotte Hornets at the Chase Center.
Green clocked 11 points, 12 rebounds and 19 assists, while Stephen Curry topped the scoring with 29.
