Lewis has stepped beyond the racetrack and into the world of cinema. Hamilton’s collaboration includes some heavyweights from the entertainment industry He is producing a major Hollywood film alongside A-listers like Brad Pitt,  Joseph Kosinski, the director of Top Gun: Maverick, and Jerry Bruckheimer, a legendary producer known for blockbuster hits.

In fact, Lewis was in touch with Kosinski earlier when he met Tom Cruise during the Top Gun meet.

Lewis Hamilton found himself at a crossroads

Back in 2015, during the production of Edge of Tomorrow, Lewis Hamilton met Tom Cruise on set. Cruise, impressed by Hamilton’s racing prowess, invited him to the movie set, and the two became friends.

As a child, Hamilton had been captivated by the original Top Gun film. The idea of being a fighter pilot fascinated him, and he expressed this to Cruise during a dinner conversation.

Kosinski offered Hamilton a role as one of the film’s pilots. Hamilton found himself on a Zoom call with Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer. They had a new proposition: a big-budget Formula 1 film. Hamilton’s racing expertise made him the perfect consultant.
