Marvin Bagley III had an unfortunate exit during Sacramento Kings’ Monday matchup against the Charlotte Hornets after the forward suffered a fracture in his left hand.
With 2 minutes and 59 seconds to go in the first half of the match at Spectrum Center, Bagley had to exit the court after injuring his left arm and did not return to the play.
According to an official statement from the team, an X-ray performed on Bagley’s injured left hand right at the Spectrum Center has revealed a fracture of the fourth metacarpal.
“Bagley will undergo further medical evaluation and an update regarding course of treatment will be provided in the coming days,” the statement from the Kings further added.
In his 16 minutes of play, Bagley had contributed 12 points on 6-for-9 shooting along with three rebounds and one block. As of now, there are no update from the club on the 22-year-old’s estimated recovery period or a probable return date.
Despite the Kings leading 67-61 at the break, the Hornets went onto a scoring spree in the final quarter to finish the night with a 122-116 win over the visitors, marking their 20th win this season.
