Jim Ross, on his Grilling JR podcast, discussed a topic which is highly popular amongst today’s wrestling fans: Would Vince McMahon ever slow down or step down from his duty as WWE boss?

ROSS IS CONCERNED FOR VINCE’S HEALTH

Ross comments that he is worried about his former employer’s health, as he believes Vince still runs the business as if he’s in his twenties, while in fact he is no longer a spring chicken. He works every single day without rest or time limits, and does not stop.

“He’s not a spring chicken like the rest of us in that generation. We all have to face up to the fact that we’re mortal and aging affects people differently. The thing about Vince at his age, he’s still working like he’s 25 years old, he doesn’t stop. He only works in days ending in Y and he has no time limits, there’s no requirements,” Ross says.

JR COMMENTS ON WHETHER VINCE WILL EVER STEP DOWN

About how long Vince shall run the company, Ross’ thoughts are not surprising at all. Good Ol’ JR believes that Vince will run the company till the last day of his life. According to him, he shall never sell the company, never slow down to a considerably large degree. Working is his happiness and he will never step away from a happy place.

“He will run the company until they bury him. I don’t think he will ever sell the company. I don’t think he’ll ever slow down to any large degree, that’s just not in his makeup. If he did, he would not be happy. I fully believe all people should strive to find their happy place and his happy place is working,” Ross says.

HE BELIEVES THE WORK ETHIC OF THE OWNER IS THE REASON OF WWE’S SUCCESS

JR also believes that this enthusiasm of the owner is the result of WWE’s grand success over the years.  Vince has an unrelenting work ethic, which he instills into his personnel and roster to some degree. He has no hobby except for work and gym, and no one in the company ever works as hard as him.
