WWE star Ember Moon is devastated after she lost a friend from the wrestling scene with whom she started her jounery in pro-wrestling. She took to her social media account and paid tribute to her friend, who passed away.

Every other wrestler sets their eyes to get into the bigger promotions but they begin their journey from the independent circuit. It takes years for the stars to polish their skills and become a top star.

WWE star Ember Moon took to Twitter to pay tribute to her friend and fellow wrestler from the indies, named Jackie (Claudia), who passed away.

She further revealed that her friend had helped her make the breakthrough into the women’s independent scene as a new wrestler. She also revealed that Jackie was also one of the first women that she wrestled in the squared circle.

Moon tweeted, “I lost another friend today and I feel very bittersweet she was one of the first women I wrestled and helped me break into the women’s indy scene as a new wrestler. Even though we didn’t stay close, Thank you for everything! Rest in peace jackie aka claudia”

Ember Moon’s early years in the business

Moon was first introduced to pro-wrestling by her grandfather. She commenced training under Skandor Akbar back in April 2007.

She later started training at WWE Hall of Famer, Booker T’s Pro Wrestling Alliance (now Reality of Wrestling) which is based in Houston, Texas.

She had first stepped her foot for a match in Professional Championship Wrestling (PCW) on November 10, 2007 when he teamed with Mace Malone and had squared off against the team of her friend, Claudia and Mike Foxx, but in a losing effort.

Years later, she signed a contract with WWE and joined NXT. She excelled at the gold and black brand showcasing great performances. She also held the NXT Women’s Championship once.

After her breakthrough in the main roster, she took a brief hiatus and recently made her return to the brand.She made her awaited return at NXT TakeOver 31. She appeared after Io Shirai successfully defended her NXT Women’s Championship against Candice LeRae.

Ember Moon is currently part of the first-ever Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. The tournament started off on Tuesday with Team Ninja defeating Mercedes Martinez and Toni Storm.

Moon is set to team with Shotzi Blackheart and their first-round match will be against the team of Zoey Stark and Marina Shafir.
