Russian Tennis Star Daria Kasatkina took a bold and fearless step by showing her support for Alexei Navalny, one of the biggest critics and opposition leader of Vladamir Putin. The Russian opposition leader and anti-corruption activist Alexei Navalny died at the age of 47 following a short span at his Siberian Penal Colony, about 140 miles east of Moscow. Kasatkina was not influenced by fear or suppression in keeping her mouth shut, she fearlessly supported what she believed in and chose to stand by the man she respected.
Daria Kasatkina expressed her solidarity with Navalny by sharing a tribute from his wife, Yulia Navalnaya, on her Instagram story.

What actually happened to Navalny?
Reports of Navalny’s death were confirmed by the Russian Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service. He was serving a 19-year-long prison sentence in Vladamir region of central Russia for charges of extremism.
the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District reported that Alexei Navalny experienced some discomfort after a short walk on Friday and then went on to lose consciousness and later his life.
medical personnel rushed to the scene in hopes of saving Navalny but their efforts went in vain. The exact reason behind Navalny’s death is still undisclosed. The entire region has one of the harshest environments on the planet, with cold beyond freezing the prison is near Vorkuta, whose coal mines were among the harshest of the Soviet Gulag prison camp system.
