The former WWE star CM Punk has reportedly signed with All Elite Wrestling(AEW). He was slated to change his old entrance song ‘Cult of Personality’ by Living Colour for his AEW debut. But, it turns out the change is not the plan for his massive debut.
CM Punk is likely to use ‘Cult of Personality’ in AEW
10 years back, CM Punk had left WWE with the WWE Championship following his win against John Cena in arguably one of the most highly-anticipated matches in the company at Money In The Bank pay-per-view in 2011. He had left WWE in dire straits due to his actions before returning on an edition of Monday Night Raw.
But, he returned afresh with the iconic 1988 song of Living Colour, ‘Cult of Personality’, that became a huge hit and the crowd went berserk. This could also repeat when he possibly makes his debut at AEW Rampage: The First Dance when it takes place at the United Center in his hometown, Chicago, Illinois.

Now, as per the reports of PW Insider, WWE doesn’t have any exclusive rights to that song. It can appear in other mediums, including AEW. Thereby it is increasing the chances of ‘The Second City Savior’ using it in AEW as well. It read:
“While WWE licensed the song, at Punk’s request, he’s been long gone from the company and WWE had no exclusivity on the song in perpetuity.”
During CM Punk’s stint in UFC as well he walked to the Octagon to Cult of Personality. It is also to be noted that Living Colour recently followed AEW on Twitter, and this has fueled the speculation that Punk will debut with that song in Tony Khan’s company.
There have been speculations regarding the return of the former WWE Champion to pro-wrestling. Fans have been waiting for it for over a decade now and finally, it looks they could soon witness CM Punk back in the ring.
All the indications as of now show that the former 2-time Money In The Bank winner is headed to AEW. With, ‘Cult of Personality’ being his entrance song, Punk could come out to a huge reception from the crowd at Rampage: The First Dance in Chicago.
