WWE star Rey Mysterio is a true veteran in the company and has been entertaining the fans for a long time now. He recently opened up on fellow veteran star John Cena, who recently made a switch to Hollywood but seems to be far away from hanging up his boots.
John Cena recently made his return to WWE to a huge reception from the fans. He is currently involved with the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. The former 16-time World Champion has been the face of the company and stars of that stature typically only wrestle on the pay-per-view events. But, that is not the case with the ‘Leader of Cenation’.
Rey Mysterio believes John Cena’s addition is good for the morale of WWE locker room
Rey Mysterio noted how Cena made his time out of Hollywood to make a return to WWE that helped him gain the fame which he today has. ‘The Master of 619’ revealed that Cena not only wants to show up on the weekly shows but also wants to work the house shows.
“With John, he just happened to have a break right now, and he’s back,” Mysterio told DAZN. Now he’s not only doing TVs, but he’s wanting to do house shows as well. So that just tells me the type of character he has, the type of person he is. He’s willing to drive and do the supershows that we’re kicking off that we had last weekend and now this upcoming weekend.”
The recent WWE house shows have been headlined by six-man tag team matches between The Bloodline [Universal Champion Roman Reigns & SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos] vs. John Cena & The Mysterios.
Rey Mysterio is thankful for John Cena’s return
Mysterio went on to reflect on the fact that this is not the last time we are going to witness the former WWE Champion. But, also in the upcoming times. Thus, on the behalf of WWE locker room he thanked Cena.
He said: “I think we’re all thankful from the WWE locker rooms that he’s taking the time to come back and put in the work that once made him famous.”
Rey Mysterio also revealed how Cena trains with Dominik Mysterio which certainly helps to shape up the future of the youngster.
