But that is not the case off-screen as he is a man with a gentle heart, having faced alot of struggles like any other wrestling star. During an interview, he opened up on having dark mindset in the past.

The world of wrestling has witnessed several mental issues that led to some severe outcomes. The controversial cases and deaths of Chris Benoit, Hana Kimura, Ashley Massaro and Brian Christopher Lawler have raised questions on the wrestling industry.

Braun Strowman was having a tough time in his life and had a breakup. He admitted that his “personal life was just a mess.”

He said, “With being a WWE Superstar, it’s really hard to balance the road life and your personal life. I think that was a reason why my relationship didn’t work out.”

However, Braun Strowman mentioned that the conversation with Vince McMahon had helped him a lot regarding his mental well being. ‘The Monster Among Men’ considers Vince to be a father figure and the conversation was of a father-son itself.

Strowman said, “I got to a point where I felt like I was a number in the system. I needed to address this. I went in and I talked to Vince; we sat down and literally had a father/son conversation. He gave me this sense of reassurance and a sense of wealth that I thought I didn’t have. That was just, like, wow.”

Braun Strowman is grateful to Vince for lending him a hand in the difficult times and Strowman thanked him for keeping the faith.

He said, “I can’t thank him enough for taking the time. I mean, at the end of the day, he has so much stuff going on. You know how awesome of a human [being] he is, and how loyal he is, and things like that.”

“I’m forever indebted to him for him taking the time just to give me this reassurance”, added Strowman

Braun Strowman has come a long way and went on to become one of the top stars of the company having won the Intercontinental Championship, Money In The Bank, the Greatest Royal Rumble, Andre The Giant Battle Memorial winner, and the Universal Championship.
