Xia Lia suffers injury during the match

Xia Li who is a part of the Tian Sha faction, came out to face Gonzalez by herself last night without Boa or Mei Ying. They displayed a great match and saw some spectacular spots as well. However, Li was involved in an apparent injury that came just before the finish.

Li seemed to have suffered a serious injury when Gonzalez had performed a corner slingshot senton splash which saw her land directly on top of Li.

Unfortunately, the Chinese star could not even bring her hands up in time, thereby exposing her ribs. Li was then attended by the doctors for a while and was allowed to finish the match.

She then found herself at end of the signature move of Raquel Gonzalez- Tequila Shot for the three count as the championship was successfully retained.

Xia Li injury update provided

Following the main event, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp provided an update on Li’s injury scare via Twitter. He was told that the NXT Superstar appeared to be fine when seen backstage.

He wrote: “For those asking about Xia Li, we were told she appeared okay backstage after NXT.”

The injury woes remains to be a part of the show as previously Mercedes Martinez suffered a horrific injury against Xia Li, when she was totally knocked out by a roundhouse kick and Martinez went stiff. She has since been out of action and currently taking a time off.
