This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw has not done much good in terms of drawing television audience. In fact, it has drawn the least amount of viewers for non-Holiday episodes of the year.
THIS WEEK’S RAW DREW 8.7% LESS VIEWERS THAN LAST WEEK’S EPISODE
The episode of Monday Night Raw drew an average of 1.57 million viewers. The show, which had Riddle, representing Randy Orton, facing off against former WWE Champions Drew McIntyre and AJ Styles in a triple threat Last Chance match to qualify for the upcoming edition of WWE men’s Money In The Bank match, attracted 8.7% less viewers than last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, which drew 1.719 million viewers.
The numbers reveal this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw to be the second least viewed show of WWE’s red brand in 2021. The unflattering title of lowest viewed show of the brand goes to the Memorial Day episode, this making this week’s show the least viewed non-Holiday episode of Raw in 2021.
However, last week’s episode, which encompassed the aftermath of WWE’s latest pay per view “Hell In A Cell”, had no huge competition to fight off. This week’s episode faced stiff competition from NBA playoffs.
THIS WEEK’S EPISODE WAS BUILT AROUND RIDDLE TRYING TO REPRESENT AND EMULATE RANDY ORTON
The episode was built around Riddle’s playful moments as he tried to represent Randy Orton, who had been attacked and injured by a mysterious assailant, in the triple threat Last Chance match he was supposed to be a part of.
Riddle, apparently trying to secure Orton’s spot in the upcoming Men’s Money In The Bank match, procured a letter allegedly written by “The Apex Predator”, but dismissed by authority figure Adam Pearce for clearly being handwritten by “The Original Bro”. However, he soon managed to secure a spot for himself in a battle royale set up to ascertain the open spot in the triple threat match, announced to be the main event of Raw.
Riddle managed to fend off competition in the battle royale, which included the likes of Jinder Mahal and Damian Priest. Riddle went on to emerge as the victor with “Voices”, the entrance song of Randy Orton, playing in the speakers and he tried to emulate Orton’s poses.
However, he was defeated in the main event of Raw as Drew McIntyre went on to claim his spot in the men’s Money In The Bank match.
