LA Clippers‘ new arena in Inglewood, California was recently burglarised by two teens this Sunday. The teenagers later uploaded videos on TikTok.
Two teens break into LA Clippers arena
Using a ladder that a construction crew had left behind, the two teenagers were seen entering the building at night. Throughout their infringed highlight video, the teenagers did not try to hide or morph their faces.
“This is private property. It’s a multi-billion-dollar construction site and so this is something that’s taken very seriously,” Inglewood Mayor James E. Butts mentioned to KTLA 5 News on Friday.
James E. Butts, the mayor of Inglewood claimed that the authorities knew the identity of the young guys and their parents have been informed about the same after the video went viral on the social media platform tik tok.
“It will be very clear to these young men — and to people who are TikTok followers — that you have a moment of TikTok greatness followed by a little bit of misery. And so, we don’t play around with these things,” Butts stated, via ABC’s Michelle Fisher and Marc Cota-Robles.
The youths were seen to be roaming in the Clippers’ incomplete arena. They even found out what seemed to be a basketball court in a practice facility and started recording themselves shooting hoops. As they jumped around, they also used a fire extinguisher to create the essence of a smoke machine. Maybe the $2 billion arena owned by the Los Angeles Clippers needs extra protection now.
“It’s unfortunate. They’re doing it as a thrill. But they’re putting their lives at risk,” Walter Zuniga, an Intuit Dome construction worker, mentioned. “If you haven’t been trained … especially at night… not knowing what’s behind you, you could fall into a trench. It could even cost your life.”
