It was not a surprise that Tyson Fury was going to pick the side of his fellow British pugilist Billy Joe Saunders ahead of the Canelo Alvarez fight, but the WBC heavyweight champion spiced it up with some choicest words targeted at Eddie Hearn.
Hearn, the Matchroom MD has been wording on Fury’s upcoming undisputed championship clash against Anthony Joshua as discussions on a date and location is still live.
On the other hand, WBO super-middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders will be squaring off against WBC and WBA (Super) titleholder Canelo Alvarez on 8th May at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
While Hearn has been very vocal about supporting Joshua for the Tyson Fury fight, the same has not been replicated in the case of Saunders, who has recently been upset about not having English judges on facing Canelo.
Frank Warren is worth ten of you: Tyson Fury calls Eddie Hearn a “little sausage”
Amidst the talks surrounding the AJ fight, Tyson Fury took to his official Instagram to show his support to his fellow Countryman, as well as lambasted Hearn for not doing the same for Saunders, as much as the British promoter supports Canelo.
In a couple of short clips shared on his Instagram story, Fury sent out some words to Hearn, with the presence of Saunders in the background who joined in with a bit of his own verbal spat.
“I think Matchroom Boxing and Eddie Hearn are absolute wankers,” Fury said on the clip, “look at their f*** webpage; it’s all Canelo, Canelo, Canelo.”
“Do you promote Canelo? Frank Warren is worth ten of you, Eddie, you little sausage. He knows how to promote fighters; that’s why he’s a Hall of Fame promoter,” added the Gypsy King.
“You lying b****, Eddie,” Saunders was heard uttering in the back.
Alongside the stories, Fury shared a photo of himself along with Saunders, who was seen wearing a Los Angeles Lakers shirt with his name and number 1 on the back.
“strategically planning the downfall of the boxing world in the middleweights and the heavyweight division,” Tyson Fury captioned the photo.
Stop making excuses: Canelo calls out Saunders
Billy Joe Saunders recently raised concerns about the absence of an English judge and the presence of 70k spectators for the Canelo fight, as well as the ongoing talks about the latter’s next fight against IBF champion Caleb Plant.
Canelo, meanwhile, called out Saunders and asked him to stop with the excuses.
“Losers always make excuses, and always ahead of time,” the Mexican told ESPN Deportes, “I’m ready for any style if you want to go out and move, get off if you want to go out and do whatever you want, I am ready for that.”
