The Street Profits are now a more integral part of WWE history, as the promotion is now billing them as Triple Crown Tag Champions.
The team, constituted of Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford, completed the Triple Crown by winning the NXT, Raw and Smackdown Tag Team Championships.
The Street Profits are only the second team to achieve this milestone in WWE. While many NXT tag teams have been called up to the main roster, few have been able to replicate their Full Sail University onto Raw or Smackdown Live. While teams like American Alpha were able to win the title of a brand, before yesterday’s milestone, only The Revival has been able to win titles in all three bands. Ironically, The Revival, now known as FTR, are the AEW Tag Team Championships.
Street Profits Won Their Title In The Most Bizarre Way Possible
The process of The Street Profits’ title win has been one of the most bizarre in recent WWE history. On last week’s Smackdown, the returning The New Day went on to win the Smackdown title belts from Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura. At the end of the match, the newly won champions were forced to disband as Woods and Kingston were drafted to Raw.
While WWE had previously stated that drafted champions will be able to take their Championships to their new brands, this did not happen at the show.
Later at Raw, The Street Profits, drafted to Smackdown, simply swapped their tag team title belts with The New Day, thus becoming the new Smackdown tag champions while The New Day became the Raw Tag Team Champions. All of this happened under the observation of Adam Pearce, now an important authoritative character on WWE screen.

It has been a long way for the tag team. The team of Angelo Dawkins and Kenneth Crawford debuted on the March 16, 2016 episode of NXT, where they were defeated by The Hype Bros. The team would continue to work at house shows.
Later, Crawford was renamed to Montez Ford and they started appearing in weekly vignettes as The Street Profits. On the August 9 episode of NXT, they made their return by defeating The Metro Brothers.
