After Wednesday’s news of Jennifer Flavin filing a divorce last week, 76-year-old actor Sylvester Stallone has now opened up on the situation.
In the middle of the rumors that Flavin chose to file for “dissolution of marriage and other relief” after 25 years of marriage which is over a disagreement about the dog of Stallone which is of Rottweiler breed and Dwight. Stallone stated that they simply “went in different directions.”.

According to the reports of TMZ, Sylvester Stallone addressed their split happened following his getting a Rottweiler, Dwight, and how a disagreement over the dog led to other arguments that ended up in the divorce of the couple after 25 years of marriage. As the divorce news spread on Wednesday, along with rumors that the couple went for separation over a dog.
Reportedly TMZ cited sources, on Wednesday that Flavin took the decision of filing divorce after her husband wanted to get a Rottweiler for protection for the family, something which was against her wish.
Eventually, the issue over the dog led to arguments which led to the reason for divorce filing. Though, that is not the case, according to Stallone. Anyhow, it was confirmed by Stallone to TMZ that he and his wife had some disagreements over the dog, but they “did not end the relationship on such a trivial argument.”
“We just went in different directions. I have the highest respect for Jennifer. I will always love her. She’s an amazing woman. She’s the nicest human being I’ve ever met,” said Stallone.
He also added that his decision to cover up an arm tattoo he got of Flavin 14 years ago with a tribute to his late dog Butkus was the result of him attempting to freshen up the tattoo. However, the tattoo was ruined, and the actor decided to cover it up with Butkus.
In the year 1997, the couple got married, that is after a decade Stallone’s two-year marriage with Brigitte Nielsen came to an end. Stallone and Flavin share three daughters, 24-year-old Sistine, 25-year-old Sophia, and 20-year-old Scarlet.
After 25 years of marriage, Flavin filed for divorce on Friday at a court in Palm Beach County, Florida. According to TMZ, Flavin accused the Rocky actor of moving assets from marital funds, the divorce filing read, “Upon information and belief, the Husband has engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate.”
