Popular rapper Snoop Dogg made an appearance on this week’s AEW Dynamite Night 1 of New Year’s Smash to promote TBS’ Go-Big Show.
Snoop Dogg appears with Cody Rhodes
Snoop Dogg was first sighted on Dynamite where he was involved in a backstage segment alongside Private Party and Matt Hardy. He was also involved in Matt Hardy’s dig at the WWE.
His appearance has been heavily advertised for the show for a long time. He was in corner of Cody Rhodes, who is also the co host of Go-Big Show. The American Nightmare squared off against Matt Sydal. The former TNT Champion made his entrance with a Snoop Dogg with a remix of his theme song.
Snoop watched the match from the stage and was referred as being the coach of Cody. There was a spot were Cody accidentally hit Serpentico at the ringside during the match.
After the match ended the angle came into light. Cody emerged victorious in the battle after pinning Sydal following his signature, Cross Rhodes.
The Chaos Project then unleashed an assault on the American Nightmare after the match as both Sydal and Cody fought it out against Luther and Serpentico. It is evident that this was set up to involve Snoop Dogg in the segment.
Snoop Dogg hits a top-rope splash
As Cody and Sydal set up Serpentico near the corner, Snoop climbed up to the top rope and launched himself for nothing but a awkward splash. The landing of the move was bizarre which would be a forgettable moment for him.

The rapper then pinned Serpentico as Cody did the three-count for the unofficial win. Though the splash did not turn out as expected but it was an entertaining segment for everyone as the fans did enjoy the moment.
