Rhea Ripley, the NXT star recently joined Lilian Garcia on Chasing Glory podcast. She discussed her bout with Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36, after which her confidence had plummeted drastically as she dropped her NXT Women’s title at the event.

Rhea Ripley was unsuccessful in retaining the NXT Women’s Championship on the second night of the WrestleMania 36 against Charlotte Flair.

The match might have stolen the show but it was not the WrestleMania moment that The Nightmare had expected.

Charlotte Flair said, “I definitely have gone through a stage where I started losing confidence in myself because I wasn’t being portrayed the same way that I was. I’m still slowly building myself back up from it.”

She said that her confidence “had tainted” upon losing the bout at the high-profile event. Ripley admitted that she had got a bit lost after the event but overcoming the situation rapidly.

She said, “I don’t know if it was just something inside my head that wasn’t getting the picture. I don’t know. I got a bit lost after that. But right now, I feel like I’m getting back on track.”

Rhea Ripley on how she is boosting her confidence

The former NXT Women’s Champion revealed that she has been watching her own matches to gain the lost confidence.

Rhea Ripley said, “It might sound weird, but I’ve been going back and watching some of my matches. I’ll watch [my] matches from NXT UK. I’ll watch matches from me and Shayna’s buildup.”

During the conversation, she said that sometimes she wants to remember who she actually is. She loves to portray the actual self of her and watching the old clips assists her getting the best out of her in the present day.

The Nightmare said, “I like being me and portraying myself in a certain way that makes me feel comfortable and confident. So, I’ve definitely been going back and watching my old stuff and being like, ‘This is how I used to act. This is what I need to do no.’ And it’s been helping me a bit.”

Rhea Ripley has joined Team Shotzi Blackheart and will be featured in the upcoming NXT Takeover WarGames on Sunday, December 6.
