The Week 12 fixture between Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers has met with one after another postponement and finally has been fixed for this Wednesday. Although, the game’s kickoff has been scheduled in an odd early timing, and the reason includes a Christmas tree.
Primarily slated to take each other on last Thursday, the NFL decided to postpone the match to Sunday after a COVID-19 outbreak within the Ravens contingent, only to be pushed back again to Monday and then finally on Wednesday after more COVID cases had arisen from the team.

Now the game at Heinz Field has been finally fixed for Wednesday, but there is a catch. Instead of the NFL’s usual evening timing, the Ravens-Steelers clash will kick off at 3:40 pm ET, and an actual Christmas tree has played a role behind it.
Tree lighting trumped football: “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” causes shift in Ravens vs Steelers timing
As per a report from Adam Schefter of ESPN, it all comes down to avoid a broadcast schedule clash of NBC. On Wednesday, NBC has to broadcast the 88th Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting ceremony from 8 pm ET onwards and as a result, the NFL match has been pushed earlier.
