Paul Wight expresses his desire to reunite with Chris Jericho

Paul Wight (formerly known as The Big Show in WWE) during the post-game media scrum after AEW Revolution, revealed that he wants to make a small reunion with his former tag-team partner Chris Jericho, who has been signed with AEW for a long time now.

Paul Wight wants to have a program with Chris Jericho

There is no doubt that Paul Wight’s signing with AEW had stunned the wrestling world. Now, with his arrival he has opened up on his wish of reuniting with his former tag-team partner Chris Jericho, who is already a part of the stable, The Inner Circle.

Wight talked about the stars he would love to have a program with and named the likes of Kenny Omega, Billy Gunn and of course Chris Jericho.

He said: “Kenny Omega, of course. I would love to team up again with Jericho or Billy Gunn. I would love to work with those guys in a team.”

Wight who previously went by the name of The Big Show in WWE, alongside Jericho were a great tag-team in the company. They hadformed a tag-team back in 2009 and were called “Jeri-Show”.

They had also held the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship and the team, Jeri-Show had made their debut at Night of Champions 2009 pay-per-view.They had a title reign of 140 days. In that year itself Jeri-Show also won the WWE Slammy Award for “Tag Team of the Year.

Unofficial reunions had taken place multiple times. The last time both the stars were seen together was in 2016, when The Big Show saved Chris Jericho, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose(Jon Moxley) from the assault of Wyatt Family.

Paul Wight opens up on AEW locker room

Paul Wight said: “The atmosphere is completely different. I think anytime you start over new somewhere, it’s automatically going to be refreshing, but even more so here. The support – the one thing that is different here that I really enjoy, is the support and the fight that the talent has over here for respect, recognition and the drive. That’s the heart of professional wrestling and when you’re doing entertainment.”

The likes of Billy Gunn, Cody Rhodes, Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, Miro, Matt Hardy, and AEW’s newest signing, Christian Cage are the ones who Paul Wight had previously faced off in the squared circle and now sharing the locker room with them again at AEW.
