Patrice Evra, the Manchester United legend was spotted playing for a new club in the Middlesex County League, the 11th tier of English Football.

Patrice Evra, former Manchester United player retired from football in 2019. He last played for the English side, West Ham United.

But, a video on Twitter started circulating which showed Patrice Evra playing for Brentham FC, a club in the Middlesex County League.

The 39-year-old usually played in the left-back position throughout his whole career but on this occasion played as the lef winger. The video showed the Frenchman wearing the No. 11 shirt and taking a throw-in. The match resulted in a 3-2 defeat for Brentham FC against North Greenford United.

Patrice Evra later on addressed former teammate and another Manchester United legend,Ryan Giggs on Twitter.

His Tweet read, “Thanks for letting me playing with you guys .. such a good day , don’t worry Giggsy I honored your number the best I could 😉”

Patrice Evra was substituted by Stan Cargill and the Brentham FC player felt lucky to come on to the field replacing him. The player tweeted with great honour, ” Crazy to come on for @Evra . Not everyday you come on for a champions league winner.”

But, why is Patrice Evra playing in the 11th tier of English Football?

The reason is pretty simple. The France International is set to be in the squad of the
Soccer Aid charity game to be held on September 6 at Old Trafford. So, Patrice Evra wants to keep himself in the best shape and is training hard ahead of the match.

England XI managed by Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney and World XI are the two sides to collide. The Frenchman would be in the squad of the latter.

Former France captain, Patrice Evra wore the Manchester United shirt 379 times and has 10 goals to his name for the club. He has won five Premier Leagues and one Champions League in 2008 during his time at the Old Trafford.

The 39 year old Frenchman has also played for other clubs such as Juventus, Marseille, Monaco and West Ham. He has 81 appearances and captained his National side, France.
