With the NBA regular season officially over, the lineups for all teams into the playoffs have been decided, except for the Los Angeles Lakers, who will await the winners of the play-in series between the Portland TrailBlazers and Memphis Grizzlies. The NBA 2019-20 postseason commences on Monday and it is definitely going to be a wild ride ahead.
The 15 teams that have qualified for the playoffs are :
- Milwaukee Bucks
- Orlando Magic
- Toronto Raptors
- Brooklyn Nets
- Boston Celtics
- Philadelphia 76ers
- LA Clippers
- LA Lakers
- Dallas Mavericks
- Indiana Pacers
- Miami Heat
- Denver Nuggets
- Toronto Raptors
- Utah Jazz
- Oklahoma City Thunder
Philadelphia 76ers 134 – 96 Houston Rockets
Philadelphia’s final game before their Eastern Conference first-round playoff match against the Boston Celtics on Monday saw the 76ers dominate the Houston Rockets 134-96.
Joel Embiid (14 points) returned from a wrist injury in the final seeding game, where Tobias Harris (18), Al Horford (10), Alec Burks (16), Shake Milton (11), Mike Scott (10), Raul Neto (14) and Furkan Korkmaz (12) all had double-digit points.
The Rockets are set to face Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference playoffs’ first round on Tuesday, were led by James Harden’s 27 points and 10 assists. The Rockets will look to bounce back from the defeat and hope to return to their best form but will be without star Russell Westbrook who is expected to miss the start of the playoffs with a quadricep strain.
This time Harden goes behind the back from a tougher angle! 👀🔥

LA Clippers 107 – 103 Oklahoma City Thunder
Rookie Terance Mann stepped up as the Los Angeles Clippers outlasted the Thunder 107-103 in overtime. Mann had 25 points and 14 rebounds for a double-double. The Clippers’ bench strength makes them the favourites to top the Western Conference, but will not have an easy road with their postseason starting on Monday against the Dallas Mavericks.

Miami Heat 92 – 109 Indiana Pacers
Ahead of their upcoming first-round clash in the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat lost 109-92 to the Indiana Pacers. The teams now face each other in a 7-game series and it could be a hard fought fixture which may go down to the last game. Derrick Jones Jr. suffered a nasty collision and was stretchered out of the game. The Heat will be counting on Bam Adebayo and Duncan Robinson to deliver in the playoff series, while the Pacers will be expecting their bubble star man, T.J Warren to perform as he has in the last fortnight.
Toronto Raptors 117 – 109 Denver Nuggets
The Toronto Raptors had a brilliant end to their season in the bubble with a 7-1 record, after beating the Denver Nuggets 117-109. Stanley Johnson top scored for the Raptors with 23 points and now face a tricky matchup in the first round of the playoffs vs the Brooklyn Nets. If the bench provides an impact with the likes of Kyle Lowry and Freddie VanVleet on court , they could possibly go all the way to defending their NBA title again this season.
