In a recent conversation with Kelly Earnhardt on Dirty Mo Media, Cindric stressed the importance for new drivers to utilize available data rather than relying solely on firsthand experience.
He emphasized the need to make decisions based on what is most important in the moment, without becoming overwhelmed by the details. Cindric spoke about his diligent preparation and encouraged others to do the same, concluding with advice to prioritize personal needs and not get lost in the intricacies.
Journey of Austin Cindric with Team Penske
After reuniting with crew chief Brian Wilson late in the 2023 season, Cindric aims to build upon their successful partnership during their championship run together in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
In his sophomore NCS season in 2023, fresh off a fierce rookie campaign, Cindric achieved remarkable milestones. These included a triumph in the DAYTONA 500, winning his first Cup Series pole, and securing his first series playoff run, which ultimately led to him being crowned the 2022 Cup Series Rookie of the Year. Although the team faced challenges in securing top race results, Cindric continued to develop as the No. 2 crew fought for a Playoff berth.
Notably, Cindric’s road-racing skills shone through during the 75th anniversary Cup Series season. He secured a sixth-place finish on the streets of Chicago, which hosted NASCAR’s first-ever street race. The return of the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway also added excitement to the season.
