The Three-time Super Bowl champion and ex-Jets receiver Mecole Hardman has clapped back at one of his ex-teammates from the New York Jets, Sauce Gardener. Gardner held Hardman accountable for leaking the secrets and game plan of the New York Jets to opposing teams last season.
During Mecole Hardman’s brief stint at Gang Green during the 2023 season, Gardener accuses the former of leaking the game plans to opposition teams. All this dates back to the period before Hardman’s trade back to the Kansas City Chiefs in October. Mecole Hardman then went on to catch the winning touchdown pass in Super Bowl LVIII.
Hardman took some time to hit back at Star cornerback Sauce Gardener but when he did he tried to cover every nook and corner of the incident. The three-time Super Bowl champion took to Twitter to denounce what he called attacks on his character.
There were FALSE accusations made about me and MY CHARACTER! To set the record straight, I have never and would never leak gameplans to another team. I have never been a person to give an opponent an upper hand I always want to win no matter the circumstances!!!!!

How did the war of words between Mecole Hardman and Gardner actually start?
The altercation between the duo started when Mecole Hardman criticized his former team the New York Jets on “The Pivot” podcast, where he claimed the Jets’ offense had “no standard,” and he admitted he “was so checked out” toward the end of his time in the franchise.
“It’s the lies and the way they handled me. I didn’t like it at all,” he explained on the show, why his career didn’t work out with the New York Jets. “You can’t do that to a player. A player that you paid at that. … I play one play, oh hell no. Something got to shake bro, like what we talking about bro.”
After these comments from Mecole Hardman, Gardener went to Twitter to accuse Hardman of leaking the side’s game plan to opponents.
“We ain’t gon talk about how our offensive gameplan got leaked vs. the Eagles tho,” Gardner wrote.
Gardner further ignited the situation by reacting lol to a 2013 post by Hardman.
“People say don’t snitch ? Ion see it like that . ! If your life on the line im telling on everybody .. !”
It is yet to be seen whether Hardman has put an end to the war of words between him and Gardner or if Gardner has something more to add to the conversation.
