Barcelona signed Martin Braithwaite from Leganes earlier this year in the winter transfer window. They implemented the release clause of €18 million. The Danish International joined the club and penned down a four-and-a-half-year contract.
He made his debut coming off the bench Barcelona in their 5-0 win over Eibar. In June, he tallied his first goal for the club after netting a goal against RCD Mallorca. He has made eleven appearances for the Catalonian club and netted one goal.
Martin Braithwaite had been sidelined with a leg injury. He missed out after Barcelona’s 2020/21 campaign kicked off. However, he was seen in the training session on Monday.

The Danish International expressed his wish of staying put at the club in spite of transfer speculations that started to float.
He struggled during the end of the last season while playing under former Barcelona boss, Quique Setien.
Ronald Koeman, the new Barcelona boss has proceeded with the mission of rebuilding the squad as previously offloaded many players. It is still unknown what decision he would take for the Danish striker.
With the departure of Luis Suarez to Atletico Madrid, The Blaugranas are eying to sign a new striker. But, if they fail on their task, Martin Braithwaite could be handed the role of the No.9 position.
