Martin Braithwaite, the Barcelona forward was spotted leaving in his car after his training session for Barcelona. He then took a selfie with a fan on a wheelchair.

Martin Braithwaite has won hearts with his heartwarming gesture

Martin Braithwaite, the Barcelona player was seen driving the car as he was departing Ciutat Esportiva, after a training session on Tuesday. He sighted a disabled fan on a wheelchair and realized that the fan wanted a selfie him.

Then the 29-year-old did something that has touched the fans. He stopped the car immediately, with some fans gathering around his car, taking pictures.

Martin Braithwaite then wore his face mask while a fan cheered, “Grande Braithwaite”.

The Barcelona forward then stepped out of his car and walked to the fan on the wheelchair as he posed for the selfie to be taken. The fan was reportedly gifted a signed jersey as well.

Barcelona signed Martin Braithwaite from Leganes earlier this year in the winter transfer window. They implemented the release clause of €18 million. The Danish International joined the club and penned down a four-and-a-half-year contract.

He made his debut coming off the bench Barcelona in their 5-0 win over Eibar. In June, he tallied his first goal for the club after netting a goal against RCD Mallorca. He has made eleven appearances for the Catalonian club and netted one goal.

Martin Braithwaite had been sidelined with a leg injury. He missed out after Barcelona’s 2020/21 campaign kicked off. However, he was seen in the training session on Monday.

The Danish International expressed his wish of staying put at the club in spite of transfer speculations that started to float.

He struggled during the end of the last season while playing under former Barcelona boss, Quique Setien.

Ronald Koeman, the new Barcelona boss has proceeded with the mission of rebuilding the squad as previously offloaded many players. It is still unknown what decision he would take for the Danish striker.
