After shaking the core of the sport by expressing his desire to leave FC Barcelona, Lionel Messi has requested a meeting with the Barcelona board. The purpose of this meet is to reportedly come to a solution regarding the clause in his contract which allows him to leave for free at the end of each season.

The Catalan giants claim that the clause for this season has already expired on June 10 and the club pursuing the Argentinian will have to play the astronomical release clause sum of 700 million euros.
