Leicester City recently acquired AS Roma star Cengiz Ünder on a season-long loan. Before making the official announcement of the transfer, the club’s Twitter handle shared an image which paid homage to the WWE legend, The Undertaker.
Leicester City pays tribute to The Undertaker
Before the announcement of the signing of Cengiz Ünder from the Italian side, Leicester City Tweeted a picture of a hat and a leather jacket. It is a reference to the WWE legend, The Undertaker who made this attire iconic and wore for his entire career.
The picture is taken from the WWE Wrestlemania 33 pay-per-view, where The Undertaker locked horns with Roman Reigns. However, ‘The Big Dog’ got the better of ‘The Phenom’ at the event.
It was Undertaker’s second ever defeat at the Wrestlemania event. Following the loss, ‘The Phenom’ left his wrestling gear(the hat and the leather jacket) in the ring and hinted his retirement.

Cengiz Ünder, the Turkish winger is headed towards the King Power Stadium as he completed the transfer move to Leicester City. The loan fee of £2.7m has been agreed between the parties.

Cengiz Ünder, the 23-year-old has scored 17 goals in 88 appearances for AS Roma. However, he could not make his way into the first team during his stint at the Italian club. He managed to get 23 appearances in the last season and netted three goals.
The Foxes thrashed West Brom 3-0 in their opening match of the 2020/21 campaign after a brace from Jamie Vardy and one by Timothy Castagne. In their next fixture, Leicester City will host Burnley on Sunday night at the King Power Stadium.
