With a huge amount of $55,000 up for grabs, a fortunate Los Angeles Lakers fan had the opportunity to attempt a half-court shot. However, things took a very sad turn for him in the end. During the break in the Lakers’ game against the Houston Rockets, a fan named Anthony lined up for the money shot.

Anthony’s attempt wasn’t too bad and he had enough force and at least managed to strike the backboard. However, as soon as he let go of the ball, Anthony began to limp. In addition, he collapsed to the ground, clutching his left leg in what appeared to be an ankle or knee injury.

The event host came over and told Anthony he had a chance to shoot a three-pointer for another shot at cash. But Anthony didn’t even sort of seem to have attempted another shot in his mind. In fact, he could barely walk without help.

Speaking about the game, Lakers ended up defeating the visitors by a score of 105-104.  An exciting finale between the Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Lakers took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, which was enjoyed by NBA fans.

In the last 1.9 seconds of the game, LeBron James scored a game-winning free throw to lead the Los Angeles Lakers past the Houston Rockets, with a score of 105-104.

James, wearing a new shoe colorway that may soon be released for general sale, set some NBA records in the win. He became the fourth player in league history to have at least 10,500 assists and finished with 10,504 after dishing out eight dimes. James also tied with Vince Carter for seventh place in three-pointers made with 2,290, and surpassed Clyde Drexler to become eighth in steals with 2,208.
