Kurt Angle is a WWE Hall Of Famer and over the course of his illustrious career, has seen and faced many great wrestlers in the company.
Angle semi-regularly holds Q&A sessions on his Facebook page and at such a session, when asked about John Cena’s debut segment against him, Angle went on to call Cena the Greatest WWE Superstar of all time.
“John was so great to work with. Kind, professional, and talented as hell. I didn’t carry him in that match. He carried himself. He’s the greatest WWE superstar of all time,” Angle said.
Cena made his WWE television debut on June 27, 2002 on an episode of SmackDown! by answering an open challenge by Kurt Angle. After declaring he possessed “ruthless aggression”, he lost by a pinning combination. After the match, he was congratulated by Billy Kidman, Faarooq, Rikishi, and The Undertaker.
With Vince McMahon having called for ‘Ruthless Aggression’ three days before at Raw, Cena’s debut marked the arrival of a new Ruthless Aggression era in WWE.
