The NFL Week 14 clash between Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers became heated after the visitors’ wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster performed a dance over the hosts’ logo. Unfortunately, even after two weeks, JuJu’s mom Sammy Toa-Schuster is still suffering the backlash- which even include death threats.
Prior to the match on 13th December, JuJu Smith-Schuster shared a video on TikTok where he was seen dancing over the Bills midfield logo at the Ralph Wilson Stadium.
The clip quickly became viral on social media, with JuJu receiving backlash from the Bills fanbase. The Bills players had also taken the act seriously, as the pregame speech from their quarterback Josh Allen revealed: “Let them do all the f—ing talking and the dancing, we do the work.”
Even for Bills safety Jordan Poyer, JuJu’s dance had turned them up for the game.
And Bills did do their work on the pitch, thrashing Steelers 26-15. However, JuJu’s mother Sammy Toa-Schuster has recently made it public that she has been receiving death threats over her son’s gesture since the match.

“I captured this moment after my sons touchdown because this is my real emotions … after weeks of so many hate messages to death threats … I can’t help but cry when my baby scored his TD. Y’all love him when we are winning but hate when we are losing,” Toa-Schuster wrote on her Instagram story.
After two back to back losses against Bills and Bengals, Steelers came back to winning ways against Colts this Saturday and the 28-24 victory included a touchdown from JuJu, which made Sammy a proud mother.
“Please remember when y’all are sending me these hate messages … you also have a child that I pray you will never have a grown a– adult send his mother hate messages. Good win as a team. Proud of my sweet child!!!” the WR’s mother added.
