Joshua Kimmich, the Bayern Munich star’s goal helped his team get away with the 3-2 narrow victory to lift the DFL Supercup when they clashed with Borussia Dortmund at Allianz Arena on Wednesday.

Joshua Kimmich netted the goal in the 82nd minute of the match to break the deadlock of 2-2. He was able to snatch the ball from Thomas Delaney in the midfield and played a brilliant one-two with fellow teammate, Robert Lewandowski.
He then raced into the penalty box but his shot was denied by Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper, Marwin Hitz. The midfielder was lucky after he fell on his stomach as he chipped the ball past the goalkeeper to find the back of the net.
Teammate Manuel Neuer praised the midfielder and said, “That was will and talent at the same time. He did not stay on the ground and still chips the ball in. He’s just a good player.”
Bayern Munich gaffer, Hansi Dieter Flick also shed praise for the German midfielder.
He said, “As long as I’ve known him, his mentality has been very special. He is well on his way to being one of those players who shapes this team and this club. “

Bayern Munich got their two-goal lead in the first half with Corentin Tolisso and Thomas Muller scoring in 18th and 32nd minute of the match respectively.
Near the end of the first half, in the 39th minute, Julian Brandt pulled off a goal for the visitors.
Ten minutes into the second half, Borussia Dortmund star, Erling Haaland scored the equalising goal with an amazing finish.
Joshua Kimmich, the Bayern Munich midfielder emerged as the saviour for the Bavarians as he scored the winning goal for them.
Bayern Munich’s 32-game unbeaten streak was broken in the weekend’s devastating 4-1 defeat at the hands of Hoffenheim.
The Bavarians have captured their fifth trophy, winning the DFL Super Cup against Borussia Dortmund.
They have now added another silverware to their collection including Bundesliga, German Cup, UEFA Champions League, and UEFA Super Cup. Now, the German giants would be eyeing for the winter’s FIFA Club World Cup.
