Thomas Lemar, the Atletico Madrid player has been targeted by the Bundesliga Champions, Bayern Munich and he could be signed by the Bavarians on a loan-deal.
Thomas Lemar could be on his way to Bayern Munich
Thomas Lemar, the 25-year-old midfielder has been picked to be signed on a loan deal by Bayern Munich, similar to the loan deals of Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Perisic and Álvaro Odriozola. However, Atletico Madrid wants to sell him in this transfer window.
The youngster has had a horrific last season as his form slumped drastically. He was not able to tally a single goal in his 29 appearances for the club.
Bayern Munich are in need of a winger as Serge Gnabry has been active in that role since the start of the season. Leroy Sane is also injured and the Bayern Munich gaffer, Hans-Dieter Flick is eyeing for some backup.
Moreover, the Atletico Madrid fans have expressed the displeasure and stated that the French midfielder is not suitable for the club manager, Diego Simeone’s defensive tactics.
He could join fellow National team members, Corentin Tolisso, Lucas Hernández, Kingsley Coman and Benjamin Pavard at Bayern Munich.
The versatile midfielder could play on either wing. His dribbling and passing ability have drawn interest from big clubs.
Thomas Lemar joined Atletico Madrid back in 2018 for a deal worth €70 million. Being signed for such a big sum, he could not live up to the expectations of the fans in the last season.
In this season he only came on for Atletico Madrid in 77th minute in Sunday’s 6-1 victory over Granada.
He has made 73 appearances for the club while scoring four goals. His first goal came in 2-0 victory against Getafe CF. He has won UEFA Super Cup playing for Atletico Madrid in 2018.
With the summer transfer window closing on October 5, the Bavarians are looking to save up funds and the deal of Thomas Lemar on loan will also fulfil the need of reinforcements.
